Halloween Candy Map & Worst Picks for 2024

Candystore.com released this year's most popular and least popular Halloween candy.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Halloween is getting closer, and CandyStore.com has everything you need to know about what candy to get if you want to be the most popular house on your block on Halloween night.

According to Candy Store, nationwide, the most popular Halloween candy for 2024 is M&M's. For the first time ever, M&M's have dethroned Reese's Peanut Butter Cups as the number one candy for Halloween. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups dropped to second place, followed by Sour Patch Kids in third. 

In Ohio, the number one Halloween candy is Blow Pops. That is then followed by M&M's and Starbursts.

In Michigan, Starbursts take the number one spot, followed by Candy Corn and Butterfingers.

The Candy Store has also released the 10 worst Halloween Candies to warn us all about what you may not want to get. In first place once again, Circus Peanuts took the spot. second place was given to Peanut Butter Kisses, and Candy Corn landed in third.

Love or hate them, the variety of candy is what makes Halloween special to all.
