FINDLAY, Ohio — A 33-year-old Tiffin man is dead after their motorcycle crashed east of Findlay on Friday night during a police pursuit.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Joshua Hayes was being pursued by Hancock County Sheriff’s Office deputies on State Route 568 just before midnight after fleeing from a traffic stop in Findlay.
OSHP says Hayes was riding east on SR 568 near milepost 5 in Marion Township when they lost control of their bike.
Hayes went off the left side of the road and struck a large ravine before coming to rest in a nearby field.
Although life-saving measures were attempted, Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene.
