TOLEDO, Ohio — The Northwest Ohio Bomb Squad investigated a hand grenade found at a home in the 300 block of N. Holland Sylvania Road Thursday afternoon.
According to a Toledo police report, the NWOH Bomb Squad was requested at the residence at 4:14 p.m. after a person found a hand grenade in his deceased father's belongings. Police claimed in the report the grenade appeared functional and took an x-ray of the munition. The x-ray revealed the device was unloaded.
Police collected the device and unloaded it.
