TOLEDO, Ohio — With several inches of snow blanketing the Toledo area, now is your chance to show off your snowman-making skills--and enter for a chance to win a prize.
The city of Toledo is hosting a snow-sculpting contest from Wednesday through Sunday, Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. Show off your creativity by building anything from snowmen to forts to sculptures. The (cloudy) sky is the limit.
If you're the indoorsy-type, fear not; you can still enter the contest. Maybe cotton balls and yarn are more your forte. Crafty snowmen are also welcome in this contest, even if they don't melt.
After you've completed your masterpiece, snap a photo of your creation and post it to the city of Toledo Facebook page with the hashtag #LetItSnowMan. You can also submit by directing your photos to the city of Toledo Instagram and Twitter pages using the same aforementioned hashtag.
WTOL 11 Chief Meteorologist Chris Vickers will be among the the three celebrity judges, which also include Jay Berschback and Jessica Van Meter.
