Rossford bowling alley asking for donations to help Helene victims

Interstate Lanes in Rossford is collecting items to take to North Carolina for those impacted by Hurricane Helene.

ROSSFORD, Ohio — A local bowling alley is accepting donations to help victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, which was ravaged by the storm last week. 

Interstate Lanes in Rossford is hosting the donation event Friday at 819 Lime City Road and said they will be accepting donations all day Friday and Saturday. 

According to the bowling alley's website, they will be making the trip to North Carolina on Sunday.

Here's a list of items they are accepting:

  • First aid kits
  • Bottled water
  • Feminine products
  • Diapers (infant and adult)
  • Baby wipes
  • Manual breast pumps
  • Baby formula (ready to use)
  • Baby spoons
  • Paper plates
  • Plastic utensils
  • Paper towels
  • Batteries
  • Flashlights
  • Solar charger packs
  • Candles
  • Lighters
  • Non-electric can openers
  • Shelf-stable food (pop-top cans preferred)
  • Dog and cat food
  • Bleach
  • Vinegar
  • Cleaning supplies

"We want to make it help," Nick Pinski said. "It's not a drop in the bucket. We want to make sure it's going to help any person anyway we can."

"We will be here all day today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) until we fill up either this truck, or another truck or another trailer," Al Pinski said. "We will be here for you."
