Toledo Fire & Rescue says its Twitter account has been hacked

Toledo Fire & Rescue is asking the public to disregard future posts until they regain control of their account.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department Twitter account has been hacked, the department said in a Facebook post Sunday. 

According to TFRD, the organization currently does not have any control over its Twitter account and posts. They said they reported the issue to Twitter and are awaiting a response. In the meantime, TFRD is asking the public to disregard any Twitter posts from @toledofire and said they will inform the public when they regain control of the account.
