PIONEER, Ohio — First responders are searching for a missing person after a boat accident on Lake Pioneer in Williams County Wednesday night.
Pioneer Police Chief Timothy Livengood told WTOL 11 Thursday night that officers responded to a report of a boat accident on the lake, southeast of the village, around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Livengood said first responders from the village and surrounding area have been searching for the missing person, who he said is a male, ever since.
In a social media post, Pioneer police said the incident is being investigated as a drowning.
It is unclear at this time what caused the boat accident or if anyone else was involved.
