LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio — Lucas County auditor Katie Moline will be holding two property value review sessions to help answer homeowners' questions following the 2024 revaluation.
The two sessions will be held on Monday, Sept. 30, and Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oregon Community Room, located at 5330 Seaman Road.
No appointments are necessary to attend the sessions and walk-ins are welcome, but property owners are encouraged to file a property value review online HERE to help reduce wait times at the event.
According to the auditor's office, the state of Ohio mandates that county auditors update property values on an individual basis every six years.
The auditor's office announced earlier this month that residential property values in Lucas County will be increasing by 29%. The auditor's office said the Notice of Value Change, with tentative property values, has been mailed to all Lucas County property owners. The values are also said to be available on the Lucas County Auditor's AREIS online website.
“One of my cardinal values as an elected official is transparency, so I want to be available, open, and honest with homeowners going through a change in their property value and its impact,” Auditor Katie Moline said. “I encourage homeowners to attend an in-person event, call or email my office, or file an informal property review online."
The auditor's office said if you have evidence that supports a value other than the tentative 2024 value on your letter, you can file an informal property value review HERE or call the auditor's office at 419-213-4406.
