A 24-year old man is behind bars after his alleged involvement in a north Toledo shooting earlier this month.
Carlson Brown was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court Tuesday morning. He's charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of improperly discharging a firearm into a house.
According to court records, Brown was involved in the shooting on July 14 in which 18-year-old Glenn Scurles was shot and killed.
The records stated Brown was wearing an electronic monitor on his ankle at the time of the shooting, and the monitor put him at the location at that time.
Toledo Police said that at least 18 shots were fired at the house, however, they are not sure yet if Brown fired the shot that actually hit and killed Scurles. They believe there are more people involved, and suspect the incident to be gang related.
Brown’s charge could be upgraded to murder at a later time. Right now, he remains behind bars in Lucas County Jail on $150,000 bond.
He’s due back in court next week.
