TOLEDO, Ohio — At around 10:20 on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 officers from the Toledo Police Department responded to a call about a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
Airport Highway near Sugar Creek Lane was closed for over 2 hours following the incident.
According to witnesses a man walked out in front of traffic and was hit by a car after jumping in front of several moving vehicles. The man was identified as a 40-year-old Toledo man.
The man was transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center with serious injuries. He is currently in critical condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
