As the Mercy St. Vincent health worker strike pushes on into its second month, the health system is seeking to fill positions.
Mercy Health is hosting a hiring fair for nurse positions at St. Vincent Hospital.
The hiring event is taking place at Mercy College on Jefferson Avenue from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday.
Mercy is offering experienced nurses $25,000 sign-on bonuses and $10,000 sign-on bonuses for new grads.
Nurses say they were short staffed before the strike started, so many of these positions could be those that were not filled.
Protesters showed up to the venue to speak out against the hiring fair.
