TOLEDO, Ohio — Metroparks Toledo has a new four-legged addition to their ranger department.
Timber is a 12-week-old Goldador, a golden and Labrador retriever mix, and will be the Metroparks' first K9.
According to the park system, the pup will be trained to assist with officer wellness and public outreach. The K9 will also be available to rangers, staff and other agencies during critical incidents.
Metroparks Toledo said that Timber will go through wellness therapy training and will be on patrol with Ranger Makras starting in the summer.
