BLISSFIELD, Mich. — The Michigan State Police are investigating an off-road vehicle crash that occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 in Lenawee County.
According to a media release, state troopers were dispatched to a field near Scott Highway and Sheldon Road in Blissfield Township.
State police determined that a yellow Honda side-by-side was traveling southbound in the field when the driver, a 33-year-old man, lost control of the vehicle. Police said this caused the vehicle to roll over multiple times.
Authorities state that the driver was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. Authorities also noted that there was a passenger in the ORV who sustained minor injuries.
Police believe that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact MSP or Trooper Justin Ott at 734-242-3500.
