MONROE, Mich. — A Michigan man was killed Thursday night when his motorcycle was hit by a passenger vehicle, the Michigan State Police said.
The crash happened at about 7:35 p.m. when a 52-year-old man from Monroe, whom the state police did not name, was riding a red Harley Davidson motorcycle south on North Monroe Street in Frenchtown township, police said.
The motorcycle was struck by a red Ford Escape headed north on North Monroe Street that was making a left turn into a retail parking lot near the intersection with North Washington Boulevard, police said. Police also did not name the 62-year-old Monroe man who was driving the vehicle.
The motorcyclist was taken to a Monroe hospital, where he died, police said.
The incident remains under investigation, police said.
