MONROE COUNTY, Michigan — UPDATE: The Monroe County Sheriff's Office positively identified the deceased female as 49-year-old Jenifer Kovenich, of Clinton Township, according to a press release issued Thursday. Authorities said the coroner's office confirmed there were no signs of foul play.

Authorities are working to confirm the identity of a deceased female found in Monroe Charter Township Wednesday, according to the county sheriff.
Monroe County authorities received information regarding a deceased female located in a wooded area alongside the quarry near 15455 S. Dixie Hwy., according to a press release. Crews responded to the area and located who they described as a "deceased, middle aged, Caucasian female".
Detectives then responded to the scene and determined there were "no obvious signs of trauma". According to officials, the identity of the victim is not confirmed, but there is no reason to believe the victim was listed as a missing person.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said detectives are investigating and following up on leads to positively identify the victim.
