Motorcyclist flown to hospital after Defiance County crash

Police say the victim lost control of his bike while going over railroad tracks.

DEFIANCE, Ohio — A 33-year-old Defiance man was seriously injured after a motorcycle crash Defiance County on Saturday evening.

Defiance police say Logan Bartley, was riding on West High Street near Union Street around 9:22 when the crash happened.

Police say Bartley was riding over railroad tracks when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected. 

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained serious injuries, according to police.

Bartley had to be flown to the hospital in Toledo. 

Police say alcohol is believed to have played a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
