TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating multiple incidents of gunfire hitting city homes over the weekend.
Shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday police were alerted by the city's ShotSpotter system to gunfire on North Ontario Street. When they arrived, officers observed a 22-year-old man shooting a gun, according to a report from TPD. The gunfire struck a home at 814 N. Ontario St., but did not injure anyone, police said.
Officers charged Arthur Woodward, 22, 828 N. Ontario St., with shooting into a habitation and discharging a firearm over a roadway.
In another incident, at 7 a.m. Friday officers responded to a report of shots fired at home in the 1800 block of Alvin Street. A woman there told police that an unknown suspect fired a gun at the home she shares with her two sons. One round entered the home through a front window and lodged in the ceiling, police said. No one was injured, according to a report from TPD.
And in a third incident, shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday police responded to a report of shots fired and found a home in the 1100 block of Shadowlawn had been hit by gunfire. No one was injured and detectives are investigating, according to a report from TPD.
