OSHP: One killed in two-vehicle crash in Perrysburg Township

The crash happened at approximately 12:09 p.m. on State Route 795 eastbound near Glenwood Road.

WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — One person was killed and two were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Perrysburg Township on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a semi-truck, operated by a 20-year-old from Maumee, was stopped at a red light around 12:09 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 795 and Glenwood Road when a van struck the back of the semi-truck.

OSHP said the driver of the van, identified as Lisa Carlin, 42, of Millbury, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver and passenger of the semi-truck, a Toledo man, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

OSHP said seatbelts were in use by all involved in the crash.

Owens Community College later said the semi-truck involved in the crash was one of its CDL training semis. OCC released the following statement:
