NORWALK, Ohio — Multiple people were injured at the Huron County Fair on Friday after an incident during the Rough Truck contest.
According to the Townsend Township Fire Department, one of the participants in the event experienced a mechanical malfunction causing their truck to enter the staging area.
At least two people were severely injured in the incident and had to be taken to area trauma centers.
The Rough Truck contest is open to people aged 16 and older and involves driving a truck over an obstacle course in a timed event, according to rules posted on the Huron County Fair website.
