WHITEHOUSE, Ohio — Never has the need for a bigger facility been more pressing for Nature’s Nursery in Whitehouse.
The nonprofit takes in orphaned wildlife, which it nurses back to health before releasing to the wild.
And now, they are full.
According to a Facebook post on Sunday, for the first time in 31 years, the facility has no room to accommodate any more animals at this time.
Nature’s Nursery says they have taken in over 2,200 animals this year.
As a result, the organization is being more selective in what animals they are able to take in.
They are also urging people to get more information before bringing animals into the facility as it’s often the case that animals that seem to be in need are not.
Nature’s Nursery has been actively working on securing land on which they can build a larger facility since the beginning of the year.
Visit their website if you want to donate toward that goal or call them at 419-877-0060.
