TOLEDO, Ohio — Residents of duplex in north Toledo have been displaced by a fire Tuesday night and have been temporarily placed in the care of the local Red Cross, according to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department.
All seven occupants, a dog and a cat made it out of the duplex on Pomeroy Street between Central and Ketcham avenues without injuries, according to a TFRD battalion chief at the scene.
Crews responded to the scene at about 8:45 p.m.
TFRD told WTOL 11 that the fire began as a small electrical fire in the lower bathroom. The fire damaged the upper bathroom of the duplex, too.
