TOLEDO, Ohio — Two dogs were found dead and a neighboring home was damaged after a fire Monday night rendered a north Toledo house a total loss, according to fire crews at the scene.
Toledo fire crews responded to a house fire in the 2200 block of Elm Street just east of Lagrange Street at about 9:30 p.m.
No people were found inside the home that the dogs were found dead in and occupants of the neighboring home, which sustained damage to its siding, were not injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it appears to have started in the house in the middle of the picture below, according to Toledo fire crews.
