BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — "Fowl" play is suspected in Bowling Green as the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is attempting to capture aggressive turkeys.
The City of Bowling Green said in a social media post that ODNR was in the city on Friday attempting to live capture and relocate three male turkeys that "have become aggressive."
ODNR was unsuccessful in their attempts to capture the turkeys and will return to the area at a future date to try again, according to the city.
The city is asking that no one feed the turkeys and the community is encouraged to use "humane harassment and hazing techniques to help modify the turkeys' behavior."
Waving arms and making loud noises, opening and closing an umbrella, spraying the turkeys with water if the temperatures are over 60 degrees and removing food sources are all ways to discourage territorial behavior, the city said.
