TEMPERANCE, Mich. — A 43-year-old Ohio man is dead after a crash in Temperance, Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says Jimmie Clark, of Shelby in Richland County, was driving north on Lewis Avenue between Dean Road and West Temperance Road around 3:35 p.m.
That’s when their car reportedly drove over the centerline and went off the west side of the road into a shallow ditch.
The car then struck several trees before overturning and coming to rest along the west side of Lewis Avenue.
Clark was rushed to the hospital in Toledo where they were pronounced dead.
It’s unclear at this time why the car went off the road but neither speed nor alcohol are suspected to have played a factor in the crash.
Clark was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
