TOLEDO, Ohio — Crews from Toledo Fire and Rescue were working to recover a body from Swan Creek near the Maumee River in downtown Toledo Saturday afternoon.
The call came in around 3:30 p.m.
TFRD says the body of an adult was found near the 100 block of North Summit Street near the Owens Corning building. In a Toledo police report released Monday, officers described the deceased as male.
The identity of the person whose body was found and the circumstances around how they ended up in the water are unknown at this time.
The United States Coast Guard was not involved in the recovery.
Police said in a report the coroner and investigative services had been notified.
