One dead after head-on collision in Henry County on Saturday

The crash happened east of Napoleon on U.S. Route 6 around 10:46 p.m. Saturday.

NAPOLEON, Ohio — A 58-year-old Henry County man is dead after a head-on crash on U.S. Route 6 east of Napoleon in Henry County on Saturday night.

The Henry County Sheriff's Office says Ronald Richard, of McClure, was driving a pickup truck west on U.S. 6 near County Road O3 around 10:46 p.m. on Saturday, when his truck collided head-on with a pickup truck being driven by a 43-year-old man from Canton, Michigan, who was driving east on U.S. 6.

The collision happened in the westbound lane, according to the sheriff's office.

Mr. Richard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the eastbound pickup truck had to be flown to the hospital in Toledo by air ambulance. His condition is unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
