TOLEDO (WTOL) - A 29-year-old man is dead after being shot Wednesday evening in south Toledo.
Toledo Police say they found Steven Brown inside an apartment on the 1800 block of Glendale Avenue near the Anthony Wayne trail around 9 p.m.
Police say he was suffering from at least one gunshot wound when they arrived to the scene.
Brown was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police later arrested 28-year-old Malcolm Walker as a suspect in the murder.
Neighbors are saying they’re surprised a shooting happened where they live, especially since there are two churches at the end of the street and an elementary school sits nearby.
Some people have recently moved into the neighborhood and just want to understand what happened.
