HENRY COUNTY, Ohio — One person died in a three-vehicle crash in Henry County Thursday afternoon.
Margaret Taulker, 85, of Malinta, Ohio, was traveling southbound on County Road 8 in Harrison Township, just southeast of Napoleon, when she did not yield at the stop sign at the intersection with U.S. Route 6, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office.
She was struck in the intersection by a vehicle driving eastbound on Route 6. Both vehicles were then struck by a westbound vehicle on Route 6.
Taulker suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead by the Henry County Coroner, the sheriff's office said.
Two other people, one in each of the other cars involved in the crash, also suffered injuries. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was taken to the hospital by air ambulance and the driver westbound vehicle suffered minor injuries, the sheriff's office said.
The crash is under investigation. The sheriff's office says seatbelts were in use at the time of the crash and impaired driving is not believed to be a factor.
