OSHP investigating incident of a child struck by vehicle in Fulton Co.

The crash occurred on June 18 in Amboy Twp. when a 10-year-old child ran onto US 20 and was hit by an oncoming vehicle

FULTON COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — According to a media release by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers from the Toledo post were called to the scene of a crash on US 20 near CR 4-1 in Amboy Twp. around 7:47 p.m. Thursday night. The troopers were assisted by the Fulton County Sheriff's Department. 

A ten-year-old child ran onto US 20 and directly into the path of a vehicle driven by Angela Williams of Toledo. 

Williams' Chevy Avalanche hit the child, whose name and gender have not been released.

The child was transported by LifeFlight to Toledo Hospital with serious injuries. 

Williams was uninjured and investigators do not believe impairment was a factor in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
