OSHP Troopers seize more than $60k during traffic stop

A pound of marijuana, 136 grams of heroin, 60 grams of methamphetamine and 300 suspected fentanyl pills worth about $60,212 were found.

WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized more than $60,000 worth of drugs during a traffic stop in Wood County. 

Troopers pulled over 50-year-old Cecil Wilson of Highland Park, Michigan for following another car too close on I-75.

When troopers spoke with Wilson there were "criminal indicators" were observed which prompted for a search the car.

As a result, a pound of marijuana, 136 grams of heroin, 60 grams of methamphetamine and 300 suspected fentanyl pills worth about $60,212 were found in the vehicle.

Wilson is being held at the Wood County Justice Center and is being charged two first-degree felonies and two second-degree felonies.

If convicted he could face up to 38 years in prison and up to a $70,000 fine.
