OTTAWA HILLS, Ohio — Ottawa Hills Local Schools athletic director Tammy Talmage is set to retire on Jan. 1 and the school is accepting her resignation on Wednesday, the school announced.
Her resignation comes after she was arrested and charged with assault, domestic violence and strangulation in October. Talmage was accused of strangling a woman she lived with in their home in Sylvania.
On Wednesday, the Lucas County Grand Jury issued a no-bill and found that there was not enough evidence to bring to trial. That means there are no longer pending charges in Lucas County Common Pleas court.

Dear Adam and Board members:
After 37 1/2 years of coaching a variety of sports and working as the athletic administrator for the last 7 1/2 years, oftentimes working 45 to 65 hours a week, I have decided to retire as of January 1, 2024. I have loved my time working at Ottawa Hills. I wish the athletes, coaches and community nothing but the best moving forward and would like to thank everyone who has supported me over all these years, especially my family and friends. I am a green bear for life.
