TOLEDO, Ohio — A portion of Ottawa River Road collapsed Friday night and caused a break in the water main below, the city of Toledo said in a press release.
The break may impact water service for those who use the line, the city said.
The city did not say when exactly the collapse happened, what portion of the road collapsed or where the break in the water main happened.
"Crews are currently assessing the full impact of the damage and we will provide more information as soon as possible," the city said.
Anyone currently without water service is asked to call Engage Toledo at 419-936-2020 to report it.
A 24-inch main that services Point Place households from Ottawa River Road to 305th Street and 131st Street collapsed last week. The city announced on Friday it would close Ottawa River Road between 117th Street and 119th Street for six days to repair the main.
It is unclear at this time if the road collapse is related to last week's main break.
