Bittersweet Farms celebrating possibilities with 10th annual fundraiser on June 6 | #11Together

For over 40 years, Bittersweet Farms has positively impacted the lives of individuals with autism and their loved ones through agriculture, education and support.

WHITEHOUSE, Ohio — For over 40 years, Bittersweet Farms has given back to the community. The community now has a chance to give back through one of Bittersweet's most popular events.

The 10th Annual "Celebrating Possibilities" fundraiser is June 6 from 6-9 p.m. at Bittersweet Farms.

Bittersweet, based in Whitehouse, serves adults and adolescents with autism at three locations in northwest Ohio. The organization has served the community since 1983, making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism and those whose lives they touch. Bittersweet offers an opportunity to grow and develop through agriculture and related activities.

The charity partners with other businesses and organizations throughout the year to remove barriers for individuals with autism through events like sensory-friendly shopping during the holidays.

"We are thrilled to mark a decade of Celebrating Possibilities! A heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors who continue to support our mission," Julie Champa, Bittersweet's development director, said. "We invite everyone to join us for a memorable evening as we come together to make a difference in the lives of individuals with autism."

Attendees can enjoy local eats and entertainment during the event, with Skittle Bots providing the soundtrack, and Maybe Cheese Born With It, Frankly Plant Based Kitchen and Baba's Eats offering a variety of food options. Maumee Bay Brewing Co. and Vintage Wine Distributor will provide refreshments and dinner will be capped off by artisan cookies from Bittersweet Culinary.

There will also be silent and live auctions, a wine pull and a 50/50 raffle, surrounded by the atmosphere of Bittersweet Farms at 12660 Archbold-Whitehouse Rd. in Whitehouse.

The event will be hosted by WTOL 11's own TaTiana Cash.

"It means a lot to our community. Especially here at our station, since our very own Dan Cummins has experienced the work Bittersweet Farms does in our community first-hand through his daughter," Cash said. "The goal is to highlight inclusivity, awareness and diversity. We're all different, why not celebrate and support that?"

Tickets are $60 and available online at bittersweetfarms.org/celebrating-possibilities.
