TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman has died after being hit by a driver while crossing Airport Highway in south Toledo.
Amanda Jones, 36, of Toledo was crossing Airport near Brookview Drive on Tuesday around 6:34 p.m., according to Toledo police. As she entered the westbound curb lane, she was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by 35-year-old Rachel Nutting of Toledo.
Jones was transported to Toledo Hospital, where she later died.
The incident is under investigation and no arrests or charges have been filed.
