Perrysburg seeking input from public on city active transportation plan with online survey

Completing the plan will be 100% covered by a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation, the city said.

PERRYSBURG, Ohio — The city of Perrysburg is seeking additional public input in the development of an Active Transportation Plan, which it said will outline how to make pedestrian, cycling and other forms of non-vehicular transportation easier in the city.

The city held a public input session Wednesday night, during which they spoke with interested members of the community, who worked with city leaders to identify existing issues and propose solutions to enable better and safer transportation for walkers, bikers and other travelers.

Although the public session has already passed, community members can still offer input in an online survey, which you can find here. It will bring you to a map of the city, where users can add comments to areas they feel could be improved for pedestrians and cyclists.

The survey is intended to help visitors review existing conditions and to provide input on key destinations, barriers and gaps for walking, biking and rolling in the city, according to a press release.

The Active Transportation Plan began in October 2023 and is expected to be completed at the end of July. A grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation will cover 100% of the costs to complete the plan, the city said. Once the plan is completed, the city can then apply for Safe Routes to School funding for projects that will make it easier to walk and bike to school.
