PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetle -
Perrysburg High School theatre students will raise money for the school's theatre department with a car wash fundraiser. Organized by PHS Theatre Boosters, this year's car wash will invoke "Beetlejuice", themed after Michael Keaton's famous portrayal of the titular demon in 1988 and more recently, in a 2024 sequel, whose name must be invoked thrice to summon him.
The spooky, family-friendly car wash experience will feature smoke machines, bubbles, sandworms and more. According to a press release from Perrysburg High School, Beetlejuice himself, as well as Lydia, Astrid and the recently deceased will make an appearance in the car wash, which will be themed to resemble the "Neitherworld". Theatre students will entertain car wash-goers while they wait to have their car cleaned.
As well as the aforementioned tricks, treats will also be present.
The haunted car wash will take place at Ultra Car Wash, located at 12795 Eckel Junction Rd. in Perrysburg on Oct. 26. The haunted experience will occur from noon to 2 p.m. , and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A portion of car wash proceeds, as well as 100% of tips, will support Perrysburg High School Theatre.
