Person hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after crash in east Toledo

A 53-year-old was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following the crash Friday afternoon at Oak Street and Earl Street.

TOLEDO, Ohio — One person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a crash in east Toledo Friday afternoon.

The crash happened at Oak Street and Earl Street just before 2 p.m. 

According to Toledo police, a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old from Toledo was traveling south on Oak Street and attempting to turn left on Earl Street. 

TPD said the driver turned in front of another vehicle driven by a 53-year-old from Toledo traveling north on Oak Street. The 53-year-old was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 51-year-old driver was not injured, according to police.

Police said alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
