TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Fire & Rescue Department crews tackled an apartment fire Thursday night in south Toledo.
One person was hospitalized after the fire at an apartment building in the 5500 block of Heatherdowns Boulevard. Fire officials said they were able to confine the blaze to one unit. The condition of the victim is not known at this time.
Investigators responded to the scene to determine the cause.
A portion of Heatherdowns Boulevard was closed in the area while crews worked to extinguish the flames.
