Person killed in crane accident in Bellevue

The Bellevue Fire Department said an employee of Precision Automotive Plastics was pinned under a piece of molding equipment and pronounced dead at the scene.

BELLEVUE, Ohio — A person was killed in a crane accident in Bellevue Thursday morning, the fire department said.

According to BFD, they were called out to Precision Automotive Plastics for a crane accident around 7:36 a.m. When crews arrived at the location, they said they found an employee who had been pinned under a piece of molding equipment.

The employee was pronounced dead at the scene, the fire department said.

"Due to safety concerns and tactical challenges," the employee was later extricated around 3 p.m.
