TOLEDO, Ohio — One person was taken to the hospital after a bullet went through an apartment wall in south Toledo Friday.
According to a Toledo police report, a man was attempting to clear his pistol in a unit at the Amhurst Apartments on Heatherdowns Boulevard when one round went off. The round went through a wall shared with another apartment and struck the victim, who was lying in bed at the time.
Police and Toledo Fire & Rescue responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m. Crews rendered aid to the victim and transported them to the hospital. The victim was in stable condition at the time of the report.
Police said they are continuing to investigate. No charges have been filed related to the incident.
