Person shot in west Toledo Monday night

Toledo police said the victim has non-life-threatening injuries.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police responded to a call Monday night and found a 20-year-old man in the 3500 block of Hilltop Boulevard at 8:54 p.m. The man was suffering from a gun shot wound, which police said appeared non-life threatening at the time of the report. 

According to the victim, an unknown suspect approached him, demanded the items from his pockets and then shot him. The suspect then fled the scene with the victim's belongings and vehicle. 

The victim was taken to the hospital.

The incident is continuing to be investigated.
