TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating a stabbing that occurred near the Chessie Circle Trail in west Toledo on Saturday afternoon.
According to responders on the scene, the victim, identified by police as a 34-year-old woman, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The incident occurred near Bowman Park by Jackman Road around 1:25 p.m. According to Toledo police, the victim said the suspect asked to use her phone and then asked the woman to perform a sex act. TPD said the woman declined and was maced by the suspect and then stabbed twice in the leg and once on her right side.
The identity of the victim is unknown.
Authorities have not released any information regarding the identity of the suspect, but police believe the suspect is still at large.
The incident continues to be under investigation.
