WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — A pickup truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash with semi truck in Wood County Monday afternoon.
According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, the pickup truck driver was traveling south on Range Line Road, about six miles west of Bowling Green around 3:45 p.m. and failed to stop at a stop sign. The semi, which was hauling a tanker trailer eastbound on U.S. 6, then struck the pickup in the intersection.
The pickup was lodged under the scene and caught fire, according to the sheriff's office.
The semi truck driver was not injured.
"Identification of victims is being withheld pending further investigation and notification of relatives," the sheriff's office said.
