TOLEDO, Ohio — A sanitary main that collapsed in Point Place will not be repaired until Monday due to anticipated rain, according to a city of Toledo press release.
The 24-inch main services households from Ottawa River Road to 305th Street and 131st Street. It needs two separate repairs after crews from the city's sewer and drainage department found it collapsed Thursday afternoon.
"In anticipation of rain tonight and tomorrow, repairs will not be able to occur until Monday. In the meantime, crews are utilizing pumps to minimize the impact on residents in the area," according to the city.
Crews will monitor the area throughout the weekend, the city said.
Residents who have water in the basement are asked to call Engage Toledo at 419-936-2020 to report it.
The map below shows the area with households serviced by the main.
