TOLEDO, Ohio — Power has been restored in Waterville Friday night, hours after evening outages left at least 2,000 residents without power, according to Toledo Edison.
One of the outages affected over 1,500 people and the other outage affected between 501 and 1,500 people. Both outages were estimated to have power restored at about 10:30 p.m.

According to the city of Toledo, warming shelters in and nearby the city of Waterville include:
- City of Waterville fire station at 751 Waterville Monclova Road
- Local Thyme Restaurant and Bar, 6719 Providence St., Whitehouse
- Maumee Senior Center, 2430 Detroit Ave., Maumee

Winter Storm Elliot is being tracked by the WTOL 11 Weather Team. It hit the Toledo area overnight Friday.
Alert Days have been issues by the WTOL 11 Weather Team for Friday and Saturday due to high winds, dangerous cold and blowing snow:
- The winter storm will impact the area Friday and Saturday.
- High wind gusts of 50-55 mph are expected. Power outages are possible. The high winds are particularly dangerous in extreme cold.
- Snow accumulations are likely with whiteout or near-blizzard conditions possible Friday.
