TOLEDO, Ohio — Two weekend concerts scheduled at Promenade Pavilion in downtown Toledo have been canceled, according to social media posts by organizer HB Concerts, Inc.

The Aug. 9 concert was originally slated to feature Palomazo Norteño, but has since been canceled due to what organizers described in the post Wednesday as "unforeseen circumstances." Those who purchased tickets can expect to receive them via the buyer's original method of payment.

In the post, HB Concerts, Inc. apologized for the inconvenience.

"We greatly appreciate your patience with us as we work to get everyone refunded," the organization said.

The Palomazo Norteño concert was one in a lineup of multiple summer concerts to be featured at Promenade Pavilion, which is located at Promenade Park on Summit Street.

On Wednesday, a second cancelation was announced in a social media post.

Yachtley Crew, originally scheduled to perform Aug. 11, was canceled "due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control," according to HB Concerts Inc.

All ticket holders will be refunded "ASAP via their original method of payment," the post said.

Organizer Hunter Brucks also confirmed to WTOL 11 that late 90s/early 2000s boy band 98 Degrees was supposed to perform in Toledo this summer, but the date fell through because of a Netflix contract conflict.

Brucks said the original show at Promenade Pavilion would have been Sept. 19. He says the band is postponing until 2025.

Reached on Thursday, Brucks issued a statement on the cancellations and welcomed concertgoers to attend the TLC concert coming up on Aug. 22:

"The concert series at Promenade Pavilion has been exciting, challenging and most definitely high energy!

"We are finding that Toledoans love their music, and beer sales have been through the roof!

"We have been receiving comments on how they love the optics, production and the stadium-style seating.

"Always a few bugs to work through and I think we have a good handle on that.

"With our lineup and the City Festivals taking place, we will have been involved with over eight shows this summer,

"Always unfortunate to deal with cancellations but in this case the promoter for Palomazo on Friday, Aug 9, decided to go in a different direction with the tour. We hope to revisit them in 2025.

"This Sunday's cancellation came solely on a tough decision due to the band performing just 30 miles north of Toledo in recent days.

All tickets will be reimbursed, ASAP.

"We look forward to seeing everyone at TLC Aug. 22!"
