TOLEDO, Ohio — A semi-truck was overturned on the expressway in west Toledo on Sunday evening.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes just north of the Jeep Parkway exit just as a rain shower was moving through the area, slowing traffic and forcing police to close off the road.
The road is expected to be opened sometime overnight before the Monday morning rush hour according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Packages of toilet paper were strewn across the road after the crash.
A crane was brought in to remove the crashed semi from the side of the highway.
It is unclear at this time what led up to the crash or if anyone was injured although a life squad was on the scene.
