TOLEDO, Ohio — On Saturday, Dec. 9 shots were reported at in the parking lot of Greenbelt Apartments on Cherry Street.
Upon arrival, authorities from the Toledo Police Department discovered six shell casings in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Further investigation found that that a vacant apartment window had been struck by one of the rounds.
Additionally, an improvised incendiary device was located on a nearby parked car. The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, an arson investigator, detectives from ISB and members of the bomb squad secured the scene, and the devise was safely collected and neutralized.
No injuries were reported and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
