Social Security offices resume in-person services following nationwide outage

All SSA offices will be open to the public Monday after a nationwide system outage caused closures.

TOLEDO, Ohio — UPDATE: According to a statement on the Social Security Administration's website, "The IT issue that affected personalized services for several hours on Friday has been resolved. In-person services and full telephone support will resume Monday."

A national outage is causing issues for Social Security Administration offices across the country.

All SSA offices are now closed to the public due to a nationwide systems outage. 

SSA Public Affairs Specialist Erin Thompson told WTOL 11 Friday morning at this time, "we do not know when they [offices] will reopen."
