TOLEDO, Ohio — The person who had to be extricated from a car and rushed to the hospital after a crash in south Toledo on Saturday evening has died, according to a family member.
Toledo police said a car was in the intersection at South Byrne Road and Hill Avenue around 5: 30 p.m. waiting to make a left-hand turn.
When that car moved to clear the intersection, it ran into a car that had run the red light.
That car, being driven by 31-year-old Daneasha Sherman of Toledo, flipped, before hitting a pole and landing right side up.
Sherman was rushed to the hospital after the crash.
Two 19-year-olds and a 16-year-old in the other car were uninjured.
